Systems Administrator

Job Summary

The Systems Administrator will support the client’s computer systems, network environment, service accounts, and provide help desk support.

Primary Responsibilities/Duties:

Maintain network systems, installing new hardware and modifying existing hardware, and related network software and applications
Perform application administration activities such as creating, modifying, and deleting users, optimizing remote access, and security access for messaging systems, databases, and web applications.
Support, troubleshoot, and provide resolution for application, hardware, and communication problems.
Ensure the security and integrity of all systems and data, and respond to outages and other issues.
Install and maintain peripheral devices including printers, hubs, routers, and other equipment
Ensure the proper day-to-day operation of internal technology applications and equipment.
Troubleshoot software and hardware issues on laptops, desktops, tablets, smartphones, servers, and/or

network equipment.

Perform updates, repairs, upgrades, backups, and other maintenance tasks.
Coordinate with leadership to plan, design, and schedule the release of all software, hardware, or operating system updates.
Support IT service accounts such as internet, telecom, cellular, satellite, and other services
May perform other duties as required

Required Education and Experience:

BS with 4+ years of experience in computer science or relevant experience
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and relationship building skills
Good organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficient in system administration and networking in multiple platforms
Prior help desk support experience

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Ability to lift 15 pounds at times
May be required to work unpredictable hours in emergencies and oncall hours

Senior Audio/Visual Technician

We are looking for a Senior Audio/Visual Technician to do product installation, set-up, and configuration of custom smart home technology systems and electronics for our residential clients. MiHome Systems specializes in residential smart home creation and installation in the areas of audio & video, lighting, shades, climate, surveillance, and networking. Maintain a positive relationship with clients & co-workers through effective verbal/written communication
Service and maintain control systems

The person who will succeed in this job will have:

Crestron Home experience
Prior product installation, set-up, and configuration experience
Strong work ethic and positive attitude
Excellent customer service and drive to exceed the expectations and needs of our clients
Passion about smart home technology and have the willingness to continue education and certifications as necessary

Use hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner
Lift up to 75 lbs
May be required to walk/sit/stand/crawl/kneel for extended periods
Valid drivers license and clean driving record
Training provided
Most of the travel is in West Michigan, with possible travel to other states.

Mainain a positive relationship with clients and co-workers through effective verbal and written communication
May perform other duties as required

Required Education and Experience:

Prior technical, mechanical, or electrical experience preferred
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and relationship building skills
Good organizational skills and attention to detail

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
Ability to use hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner
