Project Manager
Job Summary
The Audiovisual Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the installation of AV systems from start to finish, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires an experienced project manager who has successfully managed the installation of audiovisual equipment, including sound systems, lighting, surveillance, and shading. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge and project management skills, along with the ability to lead teams and collaborate effectively with clients, contractors, and vendors.
Primary Responsibilities / Duties:
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee all phases of audiovisual installation projects, from initial design through to commissioning.
- Develop and manage project plans, budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure successful project delivery.
- Lead installation teams on-site, ensuring that all work is performed according to project specifications and quality standards.
- Communicate and collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and vendors to align project objectives and deliverables.
- Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine project requirements and develop installation strategies.
- Oversee the installation of various AV systems, including sound systems, lighting, surveillance, and shading.
- Ensure all equipment is properly tested, calibrated, and commissioned to meet client requirements and industry standards.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including status reports, change orders, and final deliverables.
- Manage project risks and proactively address any issues or obstacles that arise during the project lifecycle.
- Provide training and support to clients and end-users on the operation and maintenance of installed AV systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies on all job sites.
- Travel when necessary to oversee projects in other cities or states.

Additional Details:
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record
- May be required to work unpredictable hours in emergencies and on call hours
- Some travel required both in Michigan and out of state
- Proven experience as a Project Manager specifically for audiovisual installation projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in managing AV system installations
- Strong knowledge of AV systems and industry standards.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and familiarity with design software.
